    THERMOSTAT HOUSING-gctid816614

hey everyone, does thermostat housings go bad & cause engines to run hot ? i have changed everything except the thermostat housing & my engine is still running 20 degrees warmer than it should. 2005 mercruiser 5.7 L carb, bravo 2 drive raw water cooled, i even switched housing with other engine & now other engine running hot so i kno it has to be something with the housing, i also replaced the t ball valve assembly

Personally not familiar with the various raw water cooled t stat housings but it sounds like you've found the culprit.
