Doing some replacement of broken/worn accessory parts and KI keep running across the brand name US MARINE. Internet search sticks on the halls of Montezuma, and I am sure the parts are not manufactured there.

Can someone enlighten me about this company, what thier connection with Bayliner is, and where I can buy parts such as wiper covers, switches, swim steps etc.

US Marine is Bayliner... it was the parent company and then corporate division of Brunswick which handled Bayliner, Maxum, Meridian and Trophy.

Things like wiper covers, switches and swim steps usually have a common OEM like Attwood, Perko, etc... the best thing you can do is search for the part on Google - chances are you'll find who the OEM is. Worst case scenario - post it here

US Marine was the parent company to Bayline - now Brunswick is the parent company. Most of the parts you may be looking for were made by aftermarket companies such as Taylor (windows), Bennett (Trim Tabs), Attwood (blowers, other small electrical items such as lights). Mercruiser/Volvo supplied the engines and drives and Sierra is actually Mercruisers lower priced offerings for aftermarket parts. Bayliner sold all canvas templates to Leta's Top Shop - so you can get factory coverings directly from her at a lower cost.

US Marine made the fiberglass form and body, but then purchased the installed components from companies such as these, so you *should* be able to find most parts.

Many of the engine stuff is now Mercury Marine. I actually got a 351 US marine service manual from them, but as others have said, most part were manufactured by major suppliers and labeled US Marine for Bayliner. If you are looking for a specific part. Post a Picture on this website ....someone will know the source.

What may be shocking as well as many parts are still made and sold by their original OEMs to this day, so even if you have an older boat many of the non-Bayliner parts are still available. Great for latches, hinges, horns, cupholders, etc.

Sierra has no relation to Mercury though, it's owned by Teleflex and thus they're all 100% aftermarket parts.
