    Last fall I posted that my 2452 would not go in gear. Here is what happened.

    I'm buying a new drive from SEI. 1500bucks better warranty n merc.

    I would prefer an OEM Alpha even if used, but that's just me...

      I put an SEI on our 19 foot boat 6 years ago, works great.

        A commercial fisherman here on Lake Superior is very hard on outdrives. Its a long winter and he has to break ice to get out in the spring. The SEI he replaced his often replaced Merc. has outlasted several Mercs.

        And the warranty is for any problem even if you hit something.

        Good choice.

          Follow the outdrive gear oil change interval, first one should be around 50 hours, new i like to do the first one at 25 hours.
