What part of your boat does the fabric match? The floors the walls?

To me, it appears to be a gap cover. The depressed surface at the bottom of the picture and there may be another depressed area at the top makes me think it's tucked between some interior structure at the ends and what we are seeing as the top end is held from depressing into whatever's being covered by that little tab.

Time to take it to the boat and do some puzzle assembly.

Could be out of the ceiling in the mid-cabin. Our 2355 had ceiling panels that could be removed so one could access the wiring bundle which goes from the engine compartment up to the cockpit area.

Agree with the gap cover thought. Looks like a piece that would cover the gap when a table is converted into a bed or something along those lines. The shape along the bottom of the part that is depressed looks like it's formed to fit in a specific place.

Agreed that it completes the bed in the v birth with the table to form the base for the cushions.

I don't know what it is, but if you want another one I'll give you mine. I have the same panel that came with my 1999 2655. I put it away in the house and never thought about it until I saw yours. Hopefully someone will let us both know what it is. :-)

Looks a lot like the trim that goes over the lav door towards the steps up into cockpit area.

It's the cross member support for the forward berth. It is placed on the wood rails to support the cushion that fills out the seats to make the bed. On our '99 it is placed just in front of the head and goes across to just in front of the sink/stove cabinet.

I have the same thing in my 1999 2655. I can confirm what was stated above. It is the piece that goes across the isle to create the forward V berth.
