Anyone ever install a Generator in a 3258 Bayliner Avanti ? Ours was mint when we purchased but did not have Generator.

We are considering putting one in.......Feedback appreciated.....costs ? What is in involved ?

    $10,000 option back then,

    $12K~14K most likely...

Should be installed ON INBOARD SIDE OF SALON FLOOR SUPPORT, coolant reservoir & muffler to the PORT side, transom thru hull exhaust, main wiring , transfer switch...

That much Eh......was telling the wife after canvass done this year .. time to hit the breaks.....Love the boat and have done all kinds of little things....flooring...led conversion....electric head just purchased. (installation will be the fun part..lol ) Just can't see myself spending that on Genny. Assume Starboard engine comes out for the install.... Maybe enjoy the boat for a few more years and look for one more upgrade then call it quits......thanks Ruffryder......you have same boat..? Where are you situated...?

These boats are stern heavy. My suggestion would be to buy a 2000w portable gen and hook up to shore power. This is enough power for my 3488 with no air conditioner.
