    NEED MEASUREMENTS -- anyone have (39)swinging(39) Helm Seat backrest like this?

    Hello all;

    Anyone have a bench seat with a backrest like this??

    I could sure use the measurements of that aluminum tubing so I can have it fabricated.

    Someone replaced the dinette with a bench seat (no table!) along the starboard side in my '80 Saratoga. hmy:

    I'm putting a dinette back in -- like the original, shown above, from a '79.

    Or -- got one to sell? I'm still looking for those old orange can lights, too!

    Thanks a bunch!

    Shelly

    Hi Shelly

    Here are the measurements from my 1979 Saratoga along with supporting photos:

    Pipe diameter = 13/16"

    Length = 34 1/8"

    Small side bars extend 3" from outside edge of main pipe

    Bottom bar is very near the bottom

    Top bracket bar is centered at 11 1/16" from the bottom

    Hope that helps. PM me if you need additional details. I could send you a template of the wooden side panel for the seat if needed.

    By the way, the Toga Party does indeed float. Put her in the water for the first time in 17 years last week. Engine is running like a champ!

      For some reason it is not letting me attach the rest of the photos. If you PM me with your email address I can send them your way.

        Thanks, Brice -- got the "swinging helm" backrest done, thanks to your info. Here's how mine turned out:
