  • Shrimping on the Chesapeake Bay? Fisherman Question-gctid811653

I have a home in VA on the Northern Neck. It is located close to where the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay meet. I was reading that some people have been catching shrimp in the Bay. Is that even possible? I know the area is great for crabs and striped bass but shrimp? Does anyone have any experience shrimping in this area. Thanks.

I live on the lower chesapake.you can catch shrimp most any where. But cathing 2 shrimp doesn't mean we got a new industry.Right now oysters are a reall big thing. It's just talk. Like the locke ness monster spends winters here

Well, that is disappointing I was really hoping I could do some shrimping out there as well as crabbing. My home is in Kinsale not sure how far that is from you but I wanted to try and get some shrimp near there. Have you tried shrimping near your home?
