    I have the same set-up on my 2459. I had a 15.5x15. It got dinged, so I put on the spare, a 15x17. Both allowed 4600rpm WOT @ 40kts.

FYI and FWIW........ this boat is a candidate for the DP-S conversion!

That would give you more speed and much better fuel economy!

This conversion will not be inexpensive.

However, it will solve any potential ESA issues, dog clutch issues, lower unit shift cable issues, and so on... and will offer more thrust to the water!

In other words.... no more ESA, no more Dog Clutch, no more lower shift cable![/color]

Read the following thread regarding swapping a Cobra dog to a VP sx generation leg, (been there, did that) be it single or dual prop.

Start keeping an eye out for a COMPLETE drive, the ONLY part you will not need is the transom shield.

25 mph (gps) at 3300rpm no tabs. Can plane at 3100-3200 but seems to be happier when I bump rpm up a touch. Ran it today (95 miles) with a 3/4 tank at that speed and also at 31 mph at 4000rpm for a bit.
