I have a 2006 Bayliner 175 BR and last year the marina rebuilt the carbs and did a tune up. The engine seems to run ruff at idle and no wake speeds any ideas what the problem could be?

Fuel filter? I had something similar when I had a tank of gas that had sat over the winter, I got REALLY good at changing filters that summer. After that I switched fual docks to a place that sold gas without ethanol and didn't have problems.

I have a 3.0 litre in my boat. The carb was rebuilt by the previous owner, I had it tuned up, replaced the plugs, wires and it still ran run rough. I brought it to an older marine mechanic that knew what he was doing and I had to replace the intake manifold because it was leaking due to rust. Manifold had a bunch of tiny leaks because it was rusting away, never seen anything like it. I also had to empty the fuel tank because it had water in it. I have a filter and water separator in it but the previous owner never emptied the tank or replaced the filters. I emptied the tank the other day I got about a gallon of water out of 40 gallons of gas. I was shocked I thought the guy was kidding me when he said empty the fuel tank it will make a difference. I went to HomeDepot and bought 20' 1/2 vinyl hose and siphoned it out of the sending unit. Make sure you have enough empty gas cans around to take the gas.

My boat is a 2006 175 BR. I bought the boat off a guy last year that never used it. When I took it to the marina they said the carbs were gumed up and water in the tank. They rebuilt the carbs, changed the plugs and oil and put something in the gas tank to eat up the water. The boat runs fine just feels ruff when your at no wake speed. Also I don't have an hours meter on my dashboard and cant find one on the engine is there anyway to tell how many hours is on the engine it cant be much cause the engine looks brand new as its been hardly used in the last 11 years no rust or dirt and grim.
