    1988 3255 Avanti. Air conditioning location-gctid806254

    Good day,

I'm stumped on where the air conditioner is installed?

Also where is the best place to find reasonably priced boat A/C, ?

Once I have purchased, is it fairly simple to install? Are most of the components already in the location or should I hire a professional?

Any advice on this matter would be huge help,

    Thanks,

Does the boat have AC now? If it does, look for the return air vent. It is right behind it. I've installed 4 units from scratch and it is all about measure and plan. The duct work is the hardest to plan because it is larger than you are expecting.

The boat doesn't have any Air conditioner, I see the option on the breaker panel which leads me to believe that some had it.

I'm considering just putting a window sized air conditioner in the aft window. ? downside to that, obviously loosing a large window.

      Where did you install it?

Each hull is different, but I will try to find a drawing of you boat to see where it might fit the best. Like I said, the ducting is critical placement and if AC unit can be placed above the waterline, that is better. Give me a day to look.
