    Old school cobra help-gctid805106

    Hello folks.

Start by saying I'm new to this whole boating thing.

I am unable to find the year of my boat to get the owners manual. So I thought I'd ask here.

Anyone know what boat this is, and can anyone explain all the switches/buttons on the dash. The far left silver one is the bilge. Also, is it common for non of the gauges to work? Should I be checking this with a voltmeter.

Cheers, a beer for anyone who helps and visits any lakes near me in BC.

If you look on the stern, upper right corner, you should find the HIN - Hull Identification Number. That will tell us more than the photo. To me, the nav lights look Chris Craft.

Good shout there. Looks identical to those photos in found on Google.

Had a quick look for a HIN but couldn't see anything on the stern.

Any idea what the buttons from left to right are on the dash?

There should be numbers formed in the fiberglass on the upper right hand of the transom as you are looking at it.

The switches could be anything. Looks like some are something a previous owner has added or replaced. Turn them on with power and see if something lights up or runs. One could be a bilge pump. Check running lights (red/green at the bow. White light at the stern. That could be a pole you stick in a hole at the stern.

One looks like a push button. If so, most likely its for a horn.

Connections may be corroded and they won't do anything. But there should be a switch for the 3 things I mentioned.

Keep plugging away. You will find out what they are.

Someone on the forum I showed should be able to help more as they have the same boat.
