    Best Fenders-gctid801172

I need to buy new fenders. My fender racks are 11.5" so I need fenders around 11". So I'm considering Polyform G6, or Polyform F5. I'm open to other possibilities too so long as they're around 11" diameter. I like the look of Big B fenders but they are even numbers... 10", 12" etc. So they won't fit properly. Suggestions? What do you like, and why?

Also considering a color change. I currently have white fenders. Any issues with dark color fenders getting too hot? I'm thinking about changing color since my white fenders show dirt.
    Cheers, Jenn

I've had the same blue polyform g6's for 9 years and they have been great. Never lost air pressure and still look like new. Live in Florida and they don't get too hot.

Thanks for your reply Jeff. I had G5's on my old boat and I have G6's on my current boat. I agree they are great.

I found an interesting chart of fender uses that answers my question regarding the difference between Polyform's product lines and I thought I'd share it here too in case someone else is wondering what's the difference between fenders. Turns out the "G" series is light-medium duty and for smaller boats (

I have the black HTM-2 that came with the boat. Found four new ones on amazon for under a $100, shipped before Christmas. Had to pull the trigger on that. Very happy with them.

Personally, I recommend checking on Amazon. There may be many options there.

I got four 8.5x27 fenders for $60 total - I know not your size but just an example

Look up The-Boat-Fender-Guy on eBay. He sells top quality, European made fenders and the prices are reasonable. I bought 6 large round buoy fenders from him for my slip and are very happy with them.

If you like the Big B maybe call around to who stocks them and ask them to measure the circumference. Then measure circumference of yours to compare. You never know, what they call 12" might not be exactly 12.
