Fraser River running at 40 year highs. Have any Vancouver boys been out on the lower Fraser recently. Have to run from Bridgeview to Ladner this morning.

was going to head out this morning for a 5 day trip to the gulf islands, but may delay until tomorrow morning when weather is suppose to be more favourable. Let me know how you make out in your river run.

Well it was a non event. River was running hard but not a lot of debris have seen more many other times. Ran 27 to 28 knots the whole way.
Spoke to several other boaters who experienced a lot of crap on the river recently. It deserved respect but no more than any other year.

Too bad you didn't head out onto the Strait yesterday. The water was nearly flat all day yesterday and today.

Bridgeview have been very good to me. They have worked hard at trying to find the problem and fair with the labour as well. Engine running better especially on plane but not so much at slow speed.
Heading out Thursday or Friday for 5 days. Weather forecast for Thursday and Friday has changed for the worse.

We had friends on the river yesterday - lots of floating debris reported, but not as bad as they expected.
Sounds like we'd better get used to debris in our waters as we're expecting millions of pounds of Japanese tsunami flotsam. Probably not so much this season, but next year might be horrible.

Well I am sitting in montage harbour now, ran over something in the river on the way out, props started cavitating, put it in reverse and managed to get whatever it was out, will double check later to make sure nothing is on them. I thought there was quite a bit of junk out there. I hate that Fraser!
Anyhow I see the weather has changed for long weekend, what a pita! I was planning to head to pender harbour to visit my grandparents, guess we"ll see what happens.
