I would think you could replace the entire unit for that price.

Rag hangers are cheap, powerboaters are a tad frugal;-)

Does it come with hot and cold running women at that price? Tell them to stuff it, shop it online...

              Although it seems obvious.....

None of the parts found on these boats are actually MADE by Bayliner.

A little homework and some creative Googling will tell you who actually made these lights, and you may be able to find them in a marine store, or more likely online.

Try pulling out the fixture itself and seeing if the brand name is on the back. Or a part number, that you can plug into Google.

Often, parts like this are on eBay.

Like I said, a bit of work and you'll probably find it.

Plus, it's kind of fun to do the detective work.

The lens price is OK, but shipping is out there.

You're talking about those little oval lights all over the 3055? White plastic oval with a clear lens? It's a generic part, my local dealer got me a bag of them for $50. I think it was 15 of them? I replaced every one of them on the boat since the lenses were yellowed and the white plastic was off-white from the sun.

And if you can't locate them, I can get whatever manufacturer info and part number is on the back of them. Won't be at the boat until Friday though.

No, you are not cheap, and yes, it is outrages.

I am the first to say, "Everyone deserves to make a profit" - but not a killing. $18 for a piece of plastic and then double that to ship it?!

I am convinced it's similar to what someone posted in another thread I read - the manufacturer/dealer doesn't want to be bothered by the customer with "little" things - sure, they can get it for you, and they will charge you an exorbident fee for it - to make the point they don't want to do it and they really don't want to be bothered by you again.

The nice thing about the internet is now you don't have to rely on the dealer/manufacturer anymore. Once you find the right information, you can find anything without the outrageous mark up fees.

I bought a new alternator for $90 - no tax, no shipping. Local guy here wanted $250. I was willing to pay him for his labor if he was willing to use the $90 part - he never got back to me - his loss.
