So after sitting out all last summer due to flooding in our area we Launched the boat last week only to find a major leak in the engine bay. Found out after pulling it back out its a transom seal leak, the exhaust bellows is cracked and the shift cable is cracked. Welcome to the wonderful world of dried out rubber and brittle plastic ! So after about $1500 bucks it should be good as new and back in the water, hopefully this weekend. Anything else I should be looking at since I have to pull the motor?

Check the Motor Mounts, Bottom of the engine for corroded Oil Pan, if your bilge pump and auto float are down there you might want to check to ensure they are in good working order, if not now is the easy time to change it.

Clean and paint the bilge area and engine; install a BIG bilge pump, new thru-hull transducer, maybe install some LED rope lighting.....also check all wiring and replace as needed. While the engine is out, if you have any tank issues, it's a great time to address those, too....
