I go to the new forum for us Itty Bitty boaters, then check out the others that look interesting.

Actually, I check "New Posts" not "What's New"...

Also, I have my control panel set up so all the newest posts are at the top of each thread and therefore I don't have to drill down to the latest one. The first one by the OP is the last one in the thread... (Did that make any sense?)...

Aren't they the same thing Doug? I thought they were, but I could be wrong....op-

That is a great idea...I didn't know you could do that! What I do is click the "Go to last post" icon, to take me to the end of the thread. But I like your suggestion better, I think.

Yes, both do the same thing and try going to your "Settings" at the top of the BOC forum next to your user name and set it up... You will like the way it displays the threads...

              Settings

              General Settings

near bottom of that page... you will see "Thread Display Mode"

              Select: "Linear- Newest first"

I voted #3. I go straight to Sarah's posts in the PP Section and give her crap about being a Non-Conservative! rod

Sarah..... you know that you're asking for trouble when you post in the PP Section!

The poll is defective. I first open four sub-forums each in their own tabs; General, Tech, Dock Walk, and Politics. Then I look through each tab and open interesting topics in a new tab, staying on the current tab. Then I go through each of the topics, open in their own tabs, and read/reply/close. Much faster than trying to wade through the long list of "new" posts or trying to go through each sub-forum individually.

Usually straight to The Dock Walk, then General Boating Topics, then Technical, then I'm outta here.

I find that altho 'new posts' works pretty well it is not bulletproof and that some recent posts kinda fall thru the cracks.

Then I see 'em later and realize that I missed something.
