Could be nothing is wrong. That boat would have sold for 15K easy 4 years ago and it's not uncommon to see these for a 10K asking price now. The market is still soft and it is a 35 year old boat. When I acquired my Victoria the going price was 10K and now I can find them all day long for less than 5K. Here is a prime example. I checked this boat out a few years ago and it's in really nice shape. The original owner started at 10K settled for 5K or so and this new owner is already low.

How much do you really think a boat built in 1978 would be worth? In today's market I'd be surprised that it sells for that.
