Are there any public places on Lake George, NY to dock your boat (ie: restaurants/bolton landing)? I am staying at a resort on the southern end and would like to use my (new)boat as my primary mode of transportation. I can't find anyplace that will tell me place/price. In Ocean City, MD there are alot of places to dock/eat/explore the area. Thanks in advance.

Chics Marine in Bolton Landing has transient docks. Norwal, also in Bolton Landing, has transient docks. At the southern end, the Village of Lake George rents docks by the hour/day as well. They are expensive (everything in Lake George is expensive) but they are close to most of the village attractions. Beautiful place to boat, really beautiful lake. Pretty sure you still need a permit for your boat. I believe it is available daily, weekly or by the season. Have fun.

They sell the permits as well so it one stop shopping. He also has Slips and is in between Bolton and the Town of Lake George.
