Looks legit, I imagine its going to get bid up to 6-8K range in 3 hours. Call the phone number listed, also do research on this business. If bidding always pay deposit via PayPal or credit card, if things go wrong you can always file a charge back and get your money back. Obviously final payment is only once you have the title in hand.

It is a salt water boat from Florida which has been baking in the Florida sun. The interior seems to have had several leaks as water ring stains abound. It has no closed cooling system and is in salt water. The large front windows seem to have gobs of caulk which must have dealt with leaks. In every picture they have posted and there are several, I see something I do not like. The 98 models were stock with 5.0 220hp and Alpha drive however there could also be a 5.7 in there. Maybe a decent deal but there is a whole lotta love going to be required on this one to get it up to par.

They are asking $11,500 on their site. Might be a repo, or just a quick flip for profit. They are rated A- on the Florida BBB site.
I'd say the company is probably pretty solid.

Thanks everyone!
Thats what I love about this site - I KNEW I would get good feedback quickly! You folks are awesome!
While I have no doubt that the boat is as described, i am concerned about what is not described. The ad does not give any detail other than pictures really. Too chancy for this noob.
And I agree Hans, water stains had me concerned as well.
Thanks again everyone,
JB

You are not elegible for buyer protection on this boat, Have someone look at the boat, even a marine surveyor just to do a walk through ane give an opinion as to it's worth to do a full survey! buyer beware! It is an nice boat from the looks, you will need to know the condition of the engine and outdrive and the electrical system, cosmetics can be taken care of at a modest cost.
I did not read if the trailer is included, it is worth a bit of money.

There have been some good buys on Ebay of late.
I suspect the last minute there will be more bidding.
You are not talking top dollar here so there is room for some work on it.
Its to late for someone to take a look.
Would I gamble? Most likely if it doesn't go for much more than it is right now.

If somebody gets this and the trailer for under 5500-6000 we will soon be meeting a very happy New BOC member!!!

I called it, 6K. I think if parted out you can get more than that for it though. Like others have mentioned salt water + raw water cooling likely needs a lot of work.
