Funny! The "itch" cannot be supressed, only satisfied.

But I'm not itching for a new boat (yet). The new tin boat is keeping me amused until Jam Today is launched in 2 weeks.

You would think with that hull design, she would do better than 22kn.

                Beautiful lines though.

It looks like the Sea Shepard Earthracer that was used to stop Japanese Whaling and got hit by one of the Japs boats a year or so ago. Here is a Youtube video of the boat. Yep it is real, well very similar.

I like it, though I liked EarthRace too and it was a bit more practical That being said, there's something about traditional "ship" design that appeals to me more than the "bling" lookup.

I think there's some serious benefits to that trimaran design with the engines in the pontoons... it should be very quiet, plenty of room for maintenance while not taking up room in the main vessel, fuel efficient, and ride well in most seas.

"Featuring a luxurious interior, complete with dinning area, fancy sleeping spaces, and even a bathroom and shower, the brand new barge is both easy on the gas and the eyes."

Beautiful lines, but I'm impressed by the "even a bathroom and shower"
