You better not take your eye off that boat Mike. It might turn into a Sea Nymph.
You can say that again....I am in the market for something in the 15-17ft range to dock beside the "mothership". Would even consider the ones that speed up when going down hill
Mike, would be good to see you if you made it up here this summer.
I have a piece of driftwood on our wall in Michigan I picked up about where I was when I took that picture. We got it on our first trip to North Channel in 1963. For some reason we stopped there and drifted for a while. Another couple was with us on our 30' Chris Craft. The two girls swam ashore to explore a deserted cabin.
The walked in and found some pants hung over the back of a chair. They realized it wasn't deserted. If the guy had been there he would have thought it was his lucky day.

There are 3 cottages in the area. One has been in the same family for over 100 years. They say that turtle is likely 100 years old. It has been begging from boaters for a lot of years. And beg it does. I clean fish at its favorite hangout at times. It expects it.

I was doing a Google search for the logs kept by the cottage owned by the same family. I know the Canadian government copied them. There are a lot of famous people that signed that log. It was started in the 20's. This post from here came up.
Some might be interested if they missed it.
The cottage in the picture was the Evinrude cottage.
The turtle hangs out just to the West of that cottage about 300 feet when he isn't begging for food from a boat in the area.
