  • Rocna Anchors on sale at WM-gctid370445

I plan on spending many nights on the hook this season, so I decided to upgrade anchors. WM is having a sale on Rocna Anchors, which made the decision of what to buy an easy one. I got a 33# Rocna for $263 with free shipping. (The 22# Rocna that I was almost going to buy, was $207.) I think it will be a major upgrade over my 14# Delta that I used last year. It worked fine, but didn't provide me with a whole lot of peace of mind. Anyway, I just wanted to pass it along.

The sale is this weekend only if you want to take advantage of this good price.

I have never used one but they sure look like a good working anchor to me.

I have been considering a new anchor as I want to anchor out more this year. At 33# is there a consideration of the windlass? I believe mine is the stock one.

Good question. I hope not. I did a search on here an there were a couple other 305(5) people that were also using the 33# rocna with nothing but good things to say about it. So I don't think it will be an issue.

In thinking about it, I have pulled up some HUGE beards on my anchor, that must have weighed 50-100#. Windlass had no issue pulling up that mess so I think it would be OK. I just might pull the trigger on this, make the danforth my stern anchor.

I run the 6kg (13-14#) and 40 ft chain on my 2452 and love it! You wont be dissapointed...

have never budged an inch with it, even in some busy anchorages, short scope and strong winds, kept me up all night but built my confidence in my ground tackle...Also sets super quick important in the tight, busy places

In my experiance it has the holding power of the bruce with a faster set...(but at twice the price!)

            IMO well worth the $$$

I have had no problems with the Rocna. I have the 15 Kilo aka 33 pound Rocna.

Our rode consists of 30' of 5/16" chain and 300' of 5/8" three strand nylon.

Jim- Is that all original hardware aside from the anchor? Curious as to how it fits.

                    Lookin good!

I also have the 33# Rocna and absolutely love it - one of the best things I have ever done to the boat. Mine fits great on the stock roller, and the windlass has no issues with it.

                      You will love it!

I designed the roller assembly for the Rocna. A shop in Port Huron Michigan made the roller assembly using my design. (White Water Marine)
