  • New Trailer / First splash 2012.-gctid369063

Excellent day on Friday. Day off work and my 7 yr old off school on a furlough day. New trailer ready for pickup.

Went through the boat on Wednesday and Thursday evenings to make sure everything was ready to go. Not having to winterize is a blessing but we still need to take care and ensure everything is ready for a new season. Got to the ramp early on Friday and was able to putt putt around the marina for a bit before the new trailer arrived.

Happy to post a positive reference for West Coast Trailers. Wayne came right as scheduled and got the boat up on the new trailer and after some adjustments all was perfect. After he took off with my old hunk of rust (I still need to pick it up from his yard) we put the boat back in and cruised accross the harbor to Long Beach and had lunch in Rainbow Harbor. It was sunny and 80' here all weekend (sorry.) Only regret is we had too much planned for Sat and Sun and couldn't make it out again.

The winter layup seems to have claimed my deep cycle battery but everything else went better than I could have hoped for. I can only pray that the rest of the season is as enjoyable.
