    Chart Symbol-gctid367997

I am looking at a NOAA chart of lake Erie and I see some symbols that I can't find the meaning of +++ with a circle around it and the letters PA beside it. Any info would be welcome

Not 100% sure, but I think that means an underwater obstruction, or a "wreck"

The "PA" stands for position approximate of the obstruction - probably rocks or a shipwreck.

I'm assuming you're in US waters since you're looking at a NOAA chart. If so, go to the source; http://"http://www.nauticalcharts.no...<br /> Chart 1

That's a wreck, position is approximate.
