I'm confused. I thought the Newport Boat Show was in mid-Sept. Obviously this is something different. Got any info on it or links to the shows website?

We went to the show sat afternoon. After lunch, so no luxe burger. Maybe next time. I was a little disappointed With the show. I was hoping to see more larger boats, more cruisers. The two largest cruisers I saw was the sea ray 280 and a four winns 305. Not that I'm in the market for one, but I like to look and window shop. 98% of the boats were bow riders or fishing boats. Oh well. It was still nice to get out of the cold and dream of summer again.

Sounds a little like the Detroit show except its a lot of fishing boats and pontoon boats. If it were not for the Bayliner dealers and S** R** dealers there would not be many cruisers at the Detroit show.

Yeah, I think I've outgrown the wintertime boat shows in convention centers. Maybe if we take a trip to the javitt center in NYC, there will be bigger boats. Besides that, I think the only way to check out the bigger boats in one place is to go to the in water boat shows either in Norwalk or Newport. The only problem is those are usually held in AUg or Sept and I'd rather be boating than going to a boat show!

yes, it was a disappoint to us also. All were smaller boats, not too many helpful people there either. I was disappointed in all, EXCEPT for lunch! Now that made MY day!
