    temp gauge-gctid360818

i've got a 1994 cierra 2665 with mercruiser 5.0 LX. put in new gauges last year and everything worked fine. temp gauge at about 180. had some work done and gauge wasn't working. checked and no thermostat. put in new thermostat and still nothing. replaced both sensors on engine and now temp gauge goes up to about 110 degrees. engine really doesn't even feel warm. i'm in salt water in mexico and water temp is 75. very few merc mechanics. any ideas???

I would say check your wireing. make sure wires are not crossed. if all seems correct disconnect your sensor and turn ou your acc. and check if it made any diference. if you still have 180 you have a bad gauge.
