I need help verifying which model iI have. i bought this at an auction bill of sale says 1985 bayliner 25'. Hull ID# BL2C43STD585. I believe it a 2550 possibly designer edition. Although I have read that the designer name didn't come about until the 86 model year. The breaker panel is on the end of the galley which according to one manual is correct for a 2550. Also which drive packages came in these. I cant find any Id tags. It has a volvo 280? a or b. With a 350 so it should be an aq260 280sp Any help would be appreciated.

Post a few photos of the engine and drive.

BTW.... 280 is a drive designation..... and upper case "SP" is also a single prop drive designation.....

Unlike what DP is to Duo Prop....., 280 s/p would indicate 280 single prop.

Rick I spoke to you by phone a few weeks ago thanks for all the info. I'm the one that needed flywheel cover bearings and transmission work in Georgia. I'll post more photos. I'll have to take some of the lower unit. I'll post what I have now. BTW it has power tilt no trim and the transom shield has the two hoses that stick out either side what are those?
