      A Marriage made in Heaven

If it's a marriage make in heaven,

why is it a living hell.

      she's out all night runnin',

      nothing going on she tells.

      Our house is really messy,

      the womans got not job.

All she does is take her pills,

won't cook so we eat out.

The queen is mad about everything,

      she says she's leavin' soon.

      I'm not saying I'm perfect,

but I'm putting up with you,

If it's marriage made in heaven,

      lawd, I've been screwed.

All the lovin' in my bedroom,

ain't never gonna come from you.

She drags herself out of bed at noon,

getting ready to do her thing.

Get to Walmart and spend the cash,

      on every dumb-*** thing.

Comes back from the meeting early,

      to scream and hollar loud.

      She's running our of money,

      Says she hates the south.

The queen is mad about everything,

      she says she's leavin' soon.

      I'm not saying I'm perfect,

but I'm putting up with you,

If it's marriage made in heaven,

      lawd, I've been screwed.

All the lovin' in my bedroom,

ain't never gonna come from you.

All the lovin' in my bedroom,

ain't never gonna come from you.

      That song makes me smile..:drama

given the passing of a band member, The Doobies 'Jesus is Just Alright With Me' has always been a fav of mine just put back into forefront today.

Any Kingston Trio / John Stewart fans? Many, many song but this is my favorite. Speaks to my life and what we should all look for in our lives. I've experienced most of them; you?

        Some Kind of Love Lyrics

        John Stewart

Some kind of love is like gold

And that is the hardest to hold

        For it catches the eye

        Of each thief passing by

Some kind of love is like gold

Some kind of love comes too soon

That kind of love heals your wounds

When your wounds are all healed

And you're back on your wheels

You say that kind of love came too soon

Some kind of love, some kind of love

Everyone's looking for some kind of love

Some kind of love, some kind of love

Everyone's looking for some kind of love

Some kind of love starts as friends

That kind of love never ends

For it comes on as slow

        As a flower in snow

Some kind of love starts as friends

Some kind of love tears your heart

When you knew it was wrong from the start

        Try to explain

        A moth to a flame

Some kind of love tears your heart

Some kind of love, some kind of love

Everyone's looking for some kind of love

Some kind of love, some kind of love

Everyone's looking for some kind of love

Some kind of love never dies

That is the hardest to find

        Through laughter and rage

        It mellows with age

Some kind of love never dies

Some kind of love is like gold

And that is the hardest to hold

        For it catches the eye

        Of each thief passing by

Some kind of love is like gold

Some kind of love, some kind of love

Everyone's looking for some kind of love

Some kind of love, some kind of love

Everyone's looking for some kind of love

if you are 40+ years old (60+ preferred) and different like musical styles and can appreciate a singer songwriter but don't know this artist; start googling. No cover stuff - find original. Deep meanings and gutteral responses if you are of this age or like me a bit older then your reaL AGE and like this kind of music and have experienceD 'life' Best album is The Last Campaign about Bobby Kennedy (hence the 60+ age bracket which i am not a member of) BUT THERE ARE MANY

I am 45 years old so too young to 'know' this history personally

        I am not a 'democrat'

This is not 'political' this is American, this is my country's history, this is deeply moving no matter what your background and political stripes are. This happened...

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqB14qF438c

the whole album is about this, this is the main one.

              my second favorite song

              Black boy in Chicago

              Playing in the street

              Not enough to wear

              Not near enough to eat

But don't you know he saw it

              On a July afternoon

He saw a man named Armstrong

              Walk upon the moon

              Young girl in Calcutta

              Barely eight years old

The flies that swarm the market place

Will see she don't get old

But don't you know she heard it

              On that July afternoon

She heard a man named Armstrong

              Had walked upon the moon

She heard a man named Armstrong

              Had walked upon the moon

              The rivers are getting' dirty

              The wind is getting bad

War and hate is killing off

              The only earth we have

But the world all stopped to watch it

              On that July afternoon

To watch a man named Armstrong

              Walk upon the moon

To watch a man named Armstrong

              Walk upon the moon

Oh I wonder if a long time ago

              Somewhere in the universe

They watched a man named Adam

              Walk upon the earth

                and my third fav

                "Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)"

Dragon tales and the "water is wide"

Pirate's sail and lost boys fly

                Fish bite moonbeams every night

                And I love you

                Godspeed, little man

                Sweet dreams, little man

Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings

                Godspeed

                Sweet dreams

The rocket racer's all tuckered out

Superman's in pajamas on the couch

Goodnight moon, will find the mouse

                And I love you

                Godspeed, little man

                Sweet dreams, little man

Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings

                Godspeed

                Sweet dreams

God bless mommy and match box cars

God bless dad and thanks for the stars

God hears "Amen," wherever we are

                And I love you

                Godspeed, little man

                Sweet dreams, little man

Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings

About our men and women in uniform.

                      Best I can- Queensryche

About a man in a wheelchair that takes control of his situation and world.

Leader of the Band- Dan Fogelberg

The finest tribute one could make to his father.

Let me be the one- Rik Emmett

A letter from a husband to his wife.

                      Good stuff, all.

I have a soft spot for the Rolling Stones song - "You Can't Always Get What You Want". It's not so much the whole song but just those lines:

You can't always get what you want.

But if you try sometimes, you just might

find, you get what you need.

Ain't that the truth. It just a personal thing when I complain to myself about not having this or that.

The earth can shake, the sky come down

The mountains all, fall to the ground, but I will fear none of these things.

Shelter me Lord underneth your wing.

                            Dark waters rise, thunder pounds.

The wheels of war, are goin round.

And all the walls are crumbeling.

Shelter me Lord underneth your wing.

Wrap me underneth your wing, hide me deep inside your heart.

In your refuge cover me, the world can shake but Lord I'm makin you my hiding place.
