It's been a great winter, insane for Chicago. I have never been on the water this early before. It's supposed to be in the 70's this week. I'm way out south and they are predicting mid 70's on Wednesday.
Sniff sniff...cough cough...may need a sick day this week, lol
Don't worry, Sarah, your time will come soon, I hope. Til then keep those pooches safe
My gosh I 'm in Peoria and even with the 70 degree week coming I still would not go out into 40 degree water on a jet ski...Fall off and you could freeze in minutes...IMHO
66 in Wisconsin today... I ordered some drive seal kits in case the weather stays this nice... I'm sure it'll get cold again, but better safe than sorry. I still haven't stripped or painted the drives
I probably should've mentioned that I ride a very stable watercraft. Also, the main reason for the ride yesterday was really to do a mechanical check; occasionally, I will end up having a fouled plug from winterizing. Wanted to find that out before the riding season started in earnest. I also treat my WaveRunner much like some folks treat their boat, I don't need to be driving 60 mph to have a good time. Yesterday was in all honesty just to get out there check out the craft and enjoy the beautiful weather. The water temp was indeed 48┬░ in the Kankakee River and 53┬░ in the Illinois so I was very careful.
