Hi, I am new to this forum. I just purchased a 1993 Bayliner Ciera 2655 in really great condition. I have an Owner's manual but it is a very general manual that doesn't explain much specifically about this particular model . Did Bayliner also put out an operator's manual explaining the electrical and mechanical etc and how to's of the boat? If so how do I get one? Thanks.

Call Bayliner with your HIN (hull id number) and they will send you the info.

    Welcome

I got a manual (like the haymes for cars) but this one was for the OMC stern drive that gave me a good crash course in sterndrive.....

And the guys here are great and very knowledgeable about the boat

I just the same boat that u got but 1988 congrats for the acquisition!!!!!

It looks like the last year that Bayliner has the "owner's manual supplement" is 1994. If you go to www.baylinercustomercare.com click on the owner's manual at top. Choose 1994 and then to the left go to Ciera and then 2655 (SB). At least you can get a little info about that model which is one year away from yours before giving Bayliner a call for the proper year you need. - Tom.

          Also, welcome aboard!!

Oh yes one more question...the previous owner said there was 233 hours total on the boat and engine. I can't find anywhere on the boat where the hours are recorded. I am wondering if he recorded them himself or if there is an hour meter tucked away somewhere. The boat is clean enough to have such low hours but I would like to know if for sure. Thanks again.

Unfortunately no way of knowing for sure. That is not many hours on a 93. Think about to for a minute, that comes to a little over 12hrs/year unless a rebuild was put in not long ago.
                Cheers, Hans

So true MidnightSun. Actually he said 288 not 233 (my typo). That's still very low for a '93 or about 15 hours per year unless it wasn't used at all for some years. I would think an hour meter would be dash mounted and easy to find unless it is mounted somewhere in the engine compartment. Probably just a figure off the top of his head lol. I am located in Newfoundland, Canada so it will be a while yet before winter's over and I get it going to know what I've bought. Everything looks clean and well kept throughout so I am hoping for no unpleasant surprises. Time will tell.

Let me know what you need, my 3055 is a '93 as well and the majority of the equipment is the same; I have every owners manual for all the equipment.
