There are clamp-on rod holders that you could attach to your engine protector or ski tower. Other than that there is a glue-on mount base from Railblaza (check out their products), or you need to drill holes. If you do drill holes for bolts make sure you have access from behind for large stainless washers or stainless backing plate, or you are drilling into plywood for stainless steel screws. Seal every bolt / screw with something like 3M-4200. It is amazing how water finds its way into screw holes...

The base plate is supposed to be bolted onto a vertical wall, then the rest of it is screwed onto that base plate. This does require drilling holes and access from behind to attach large SS washers (or a stainless steel plate) and nuts.
Downriggers keep your fishing lines deep down while the boat is slowly moving. No need for downriggers if you are stationary. My boat came with both "rocket launchers" (tube-type rod holders) and downriggers with rod holders.

If you get Scotty downriggers look at the holders that attach to the pedestal. You can run two rods aside with this and no joles

That sounds really promising. I am going to check it out. Thanks so much for the information.

Scotty side mount - you're going to want down riggers, rod holder is a part of that.

I wish we had rails to attach things to because I like your idea. Thanks for your suggestion, I really appreciate it.

Not to familiar with your boat but I have some that “clamp” on to the rails. They work surprisingly well and can be rotated to fit anywhere without making holes

    Rod holders???

We just received our 2022 Element E18 and discovered there are no rod holders. We are not keen on drilling holes into the fiberglass. I was wondering if anyone else has come up with a creative solution to this problem. Any and all help would be appreciated.
Working...
