    Got limits on ling this weekend, greenling, lingcod, and some perch.

            There is a small island just east of Nanaimo Canada that when you get down to about 80 ft there is s shelf after that it drops into the abyss.

            On that shelf at 60-80 ft are the biggest Ling cod I have ever seen some nearly as long as I am tall. 5-6ft

                Visibility is pretty much always sucky up here.

                And I don't think spearfishing is ever allowed in Canada.

                    Yep, they hang around for the gut dumps from the cleaning tables. Last time out there, there was a little kid fishing on the dock with a trout pole that had a good ~36" ling on the line, some people coming down to their boat helped him with it as we were leaving, but didn't get to see the outcome.
