    Salon renovation on 3870

    Almost complete ....
removed the sink and ice maker from the aft port area of the salon on my 3870
    replaced with drawers and shleving.
Much more storage and now will have room for a decent chair for reading

Looks awesome. Especially your flooring!!! I'm crazy jealous! One question though, have you run your engines? Is it any louder in the cabin now?

    Thanks

I have had the flooring in for several years.....It is installed everywhere except the heads.
        no problems with sound
I had flooring left over so I was able to match up where the old corner cabinet was removed

At one point a previous owner removed the inside helm station to create more usable space. The feeling was that the visibility was poor from there in any case and your better off on the flybridge where you can see.

I have certainly seen it done and it looks great.
i never run from the lower helm, but have not had the guts to rip it out

Hmm no lower helm in the PNW
              I would not have it.
