I have a Jabsco hand pump toilet that wasn't working well, raw water flush. There was always three inches of water after flushing toilet. I installed a new locking hand pump from Jabsco, it was very easy to do. I also changed the sanitary hose that leads to the waste tank it was lined with mineral deposits. Now you can pump the toilet dry, also helped eliminate odors. This project was well worth it and was under $100.00
As far as I'm concerned, any project that keeps the head in working order or improves it, is worth the time and money. Fortunately it's not generally a difficult job.....just stinky.
