Sounds like an interesting project. I love my Trophy 2359, but do hate the dog house.

      What area are you in?
It has been done up here with a 250.
The Boating Forum - I/O to Outboard Conversion - Hello, I'm starting this thread because I have scoured the internet before I decided to do my conversion and very few threads ever showed the completed project. I also have a thread on other websites as well. Just wanting to get the information out to everyone looking at

I live on Vancouver Island BC and I did see a utube video with the same boat it was powered with a 250 Honda I would like to see one that has the cock pit deck
eliminating the motor hatch and having a flush deck . Love the boat don't know if the project is worth $30K

That's a nice conversion green posted. Id think the simple part of that project would be replacing the engine cover with a flat hatch.

            Is it worth it? Depends...
You definitely won't get anywhere near your money back if you have to sell it in a few years. But you will have a very reliable boat for the next 10 years or so with a brand new engine.
Have you looked at any Parkers? They are a California made boat, don't see too many up here but I love fishing from them, huge rear cockpit.

when you look at purchasing a Parker or Seasport 24 ' with outboard power you will spend $100K the 2359 Trophy Pro with inboard 5.7 merc I could get $35k I will spend another $35K and it should be worth
$65K to $70k with the way it is rigged and the Trophy with the pod and 300HP Suzuki would make a very nice package.
