    2001/2002 Bayliner VDO gauge retrofit

These are pictures of my 2002 Bayliner that I replaced the VDO gauge cluster with individual Faria gauges. Additionally, the speedometer was converted to GPS. Warning lights are custom made stainless steel LED lights. If anyone wants any information on how to do this or where to get the material just let me know. My other post was deleted during the software change so I decided to put this back up due to all the people who contacted me privately from the old post.

This is an enormous improvement from the stock gauge cluster which was a total disaster.

When I made the new instrument panel I made a wiring harness for the gauges that would plug into the existing wiring harness on the boat. The only additional wires that I ran were for the oil light and temp light. I wanted a warning to sound and a light to come on for the oil and temp. Both of those require adding a sending unit at the engine.

Sorry for the late reply but there were issues with this site and also with the previous owner of the site which I was told no longer exist.

Can I get more detailed information about the 2002 195 Capri instrument cluster retrofit? I’d like to try it. Parts list, suppliers, general cost.

All the materials to do this are on Amazon. The dash material is called ABS Burl. The gauges and wiring are also on Amazon. The wiring diagram is on Google search if you type in your boat year and model. The hard part is making the template and wiring harness if you've never done that before. If you wanted me to do it I can run it through my shop but understand that it is labor intensive.

Which burl as several different kinds and it’s hard to see the colors, I like the one you used.

I am interested in doing this on my 2001 Bayliner Capri. I can't find those exact gauges on Amazon. any chance you have a link? also how much would it cost to have you do a wiring harness? Dan.

I would need your instrument panel to do the wiring harness.
