I own a trophy 2352 and the kicker is swimstep mounted. The problem was the kicker was so far back the tiller was almost useless. The previous owner said he once had the coast guard ask him to return to his vessel because he'd sit backwards on the transom with his feet on the step basically back wards . I've only owned the boat a couple weeks and ever time I looked at it it bothered me. So rather than go to a 3/4 step or drilling more holes in the boat for a transom mount I took matters into my own hands, and yes I did my measurements to make sure kicker and tiller would go lock to lock and not hit.
when a person can do that quality of work, there is no reason to change to a 3/4 swimdeck and then have to bolt a motor bracket on to the boat... nice glass work!
Wow, that looks great! I was thinking of putting a kicker on my 2858... and spotted the 3/4 swim platform option mentioned above in my local marina, on another 2858. But I like yours way better....
Here's the one I saw... it's still decent as far as I can see...

Her it is completed and mounted. Could have came back a touch more , but then my predrilled bolt holes would not have lined up....lol. Got it back a foot or so. Plus had a spud added to the new kicker bracket the transfers load to the transom. Oh and I used a heat gun to reshape the rubrail to fit the new curves.
