We needed to get our son off the floor of the saloon for sleeping so we had two smaller filler cushions made and I just finished the platform. Hee tested it this weekend and lived it. The Admiral does to and we kept it made up so she and my girls could curl up and read comfortably.
The platform is hinged underneath for storage. I have a 1" stainless firing centered over the joint and use 4 wingnuts to secure to both pieces. Very solid. Will be trimming some off the edge so the woods is not showing.
