This time it only took me about 45 minutes with the heat gun, then a couple hours with the belt sander. Then on to the 5 coats of Cecil.

Looks good. I finished redoing mine on the weekend. It was the first time doing woodwork for me. I didn't have a heat gun or belt sander. It took me 2 days of hard work before I got the first coat on.

That looks awesome. What did you use to cover them, one of your posts got cut off. I just pressure washed mine and it is still raw waiting for the rain to stop before I can put anything on them. Again great job.

I used Cetol. 3 coats of the natural color then 2 coats of the clear.

Definitely get a belt sander.I think it was like $40 at home depot. The bulkhead and other parts are to complex for a belt sander, so they will be put off until a later date.
