I have a Honda Gasoline 6.5KW Genset which is 18 months old. We have corrosion inside the fuel tank which has flaked off & got itself into the fuel system with predictable results. I am thinking we need to build a new stainless tank as its pointless trying to find another Honda thank that may do the same thing in a year or two.

Does anyone have any alternative suggestions.

Go to your local motorcycle shop, they will have a product you pour in the tank that will coat it and keep it from flaking. I have used it on several old motorcycles, it works great.
