I know I'm brand new but the guy we bought our boat from said there was an extension you can put on from I believe Overtons. I think it was just a rope type thing but would work very well and out of the way when not using.

Try it...we did ....gave it away.

This is not the answer for everyone ,but it works for us.

We do not take it along on days when we are doing more cruising then swimming.

Does work well for quickly getting on and off the boat on the trailer too

Damn that's on nice ladder. I wish my step ladder was that nice. Does that come off in some way or stow out of the way?

Man I have the same boat and my father had both his knees replaced last summer and he was getting up the ladder just fine 3 weeks after surgery.

We have put it in the pass thru to the front.

Also strapped it to the swim platform dent once with good results.

@ over 6 feet tall folding myself up to get onboard is unpleasant but not impossible.

              Love the new ladder.

I just bought a windline TDL3X ladder from my local dealer for a little over $100

It bolted right up, fits in the space where the two step ladder goes perfectly, looks like factory, and you don't have to haul around a huge pontoon ladder.
