    Replacement Speakers finally in

Finally got some time to get speakers replaced....in went with the Infinity marine 622mw speakers after reading good reviews. Was little puckering as I had to drill new screw holes as old ones weren't lining up.

I hated drilling but wasnt bad at all....thankful for youtube on how to drill fiberglass and countersink to prevent gelcoat cracking.

Anyway....these sound awesome and are way louder than the originals. Not wetsounds but these make the most out of existing power and didnt need an amp install.

After searching Frys and Bestbuy in found these on sale at Academy of all places.

    Nothing fancy....but definite upgrade

Yep, knowingly drilling holes into your boat, is initially a tough thing to overcome. But by the 3rd or 4th hole, the comfort level soon settles in. I already have additional speakers for the bow of the 185, I just have not made it a priority yet... just closed on my storage unit that I bought, climate controlled, 65’x35’. I envision many cold Michigan days and evenings in the comforts of a 72* storage unit turning wrenches and spinning buffing wheels...

Nice... that's a lot of storage space for sure....I know when I had mine built the guy told me he would build any size, but regardless what you convince yourself of in life size does matter....so I built as big as I could fit in the location which was 30x50 with an overhang.

It's now getting full and i want another one!
    Working...
