I just changed the factory-installed Northstar fish finder on my 2008 Bayliner 192 (to a Garmin 521s gps and fish finder).
When I removed the lower screw that kept the cable to transducer in place, I had a very slow leak of brown water, to my surprise/distress!! When I changed the lower transducer there was no water leak there from those two screw holes, nor on the cable holder screw above it.
It is hard to say how much water leaked/seeped out... Maybe 1/2 cup if that? It stopped after leaving out overnight.
Has anyone dealt with this before with their Bayliner while still under the hull warranty, and was there any trouble in getting this repaired by the company??
