Alpha 1 Gen II Impeller Kit-gctid826327

I thought this was going to be easy, but there are so many options. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best kit for my 2015 Alpha 1 Gen II?

There are several "levels" of kits. Unless you have lots of hours on your drive, if you only drop the lower unit, you probably are going to need drive oil, the oil passage o-ring and an impeller. If you remove the whole drive, you need to add the gasket kit and either bellows glue or contact cement for the "snout seal" and to hold the o-rings in place.

I always use the OEM impeller kit however it is not necessary to replace the impeller housing if you have the stainless housing already installed. Check the inside of your housing to make sure it isn't grooved or excessively worn, but that is highly doubtful on a two year old boat.

You will also need a can of Quicksilver Perfect Seal for the gaskets, however I have switched over to Permatex Aviation Form-A-Gasket which is the same stuff at half the price.

Additionally, 2 quarts of HPGL to refill your drive at the end and only use the good quality "blue" gaskets for the drain screw and vent screw.

The first time you do this it will take you a couple hours. Subsequent times you will be in and out in 45 minutes maximum. It is a super-simple maintenance item.

I replace the housing also, boat in sandy, saltwater

I urge when you have the drive split to replace the shift shaft bushing, if you choose to, please make sure the drive is level and can't move.
