Howdy folks. Mani here as a new member. I have a question regarding drainage of the bow compartments on my brand new 2016 VR6 4.5 250HP I/O boat. Mine doesn't seem to drain anywhere automatically. My wife actually used her hand to scoop water towards slits in the bow compartments to get the water to drain aft. I checked the spectator seat compartment, the one behind the skipper seat, and notice the water flowing into the that compartment when she did. I cant' imagine that is my only option to get water out of the bow compartments. I'm a first time boat owner, so I guess anything is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look for something like a tube located in the floor of the hull that will run between the different compartments to the bilge. Sort of like a "tunnel" that the water is supposed to travel thru from the bow, thru to the ski locker, thru to the bilge area. It may be clogged with something preventing the water to drain back to the bilge. May want to use some sort of sturdy, yet pliable small diameter hose of sorts to run it thru the "tunnel" to each compartment...
One mod I did on my 185 was to place a cut in half piece of pvc pipe along the bottom of the ski locker, somthat water would run under the pipe back to the bilge and not get my gear wet that I have in strorage in there. Also worked well placing anti-microbial shelf lining in the locker somthat stuff didn't slide around. The pvc pipe actually ended up working like a bridge of sorts and made the storing of items easier overall
