    BR 170 Trolling motor mount-gctid820305

Got a BR 170 this year, and a new trolling motor. Had trouble finding any DIY instruction online for installing it, so designed my own mount! No holes in the boat either!!

I wouldn't say that was aesthetically pleasing but looks like it would work.

I'm thinking I might try to fabricate a similar one for my Element XL.

Like the idea of no holes and easily removed when not need.

ya, it won't win any beauty contests, but it fits the need.

I admire your ingenuity, but please put a safety cord on that. If those clamps give up as they often do, you can't rely on the wires to hold the motor .

oh definitely! I'm thinking that I'll use a U shaped bicycle lock
