2000 capri 1850-where can I find hull decals and gelcoat?-gctid812047

My local dealer told me parts are not made for boat any longer. Should I just call Bayliner dealers and see If they might have stock-I need the long decal that goes down the side as well as gelcoat. Thanks

    Try Great Lakes Skipper.

They have a lot of OEM decals and striping.

I was going to replace my peeling 'Bayliner" decals...when I removed the old, compounded, polished and waxed the old decal "fade" into the gelcoat, I liked the "naked" look so much I decided to not replace the decals at all. I have had a lot of compliments on it since.

Same here RobMick. Once I got the non eroded gelcoat sanded down even with the rest of it. I decided I wanted a cleaner, more sleek look so I'm leaving some striping as well as the long lower hull billboards off. I did want to retain the Sunbridge identity but the logos were so bad I couldn't leave them what with all the sanding, compounding and buffing and polishing going on around them. I found Island Boat Lettering on NY. They helped me with the stern name and design so I sent them a couple of pictures of the 2655 SUNBRIDGE logo and within a week or so they had rendered a replacement decal that most will never notice the subtle differences between it and the original. I will be adding a red/blue stripe though. I'm extending the white on down from about a third of the gray lower wide stripe to the bottom of the vertical hull sides then changing to blue where the hull turns under. Sleek lookin hull you've got there. Are you required to display the registration above the rub line?

I don't believe it is required to display the "MC" number above the rub line, it was there when we bought the boat...I will probably leave it there as time goes on
