    sidewall/bulk head restoration-gctid396053

Hello gang, I've been restoring an old bayliner explorer. I have pretty much worked out exterior and engine, now I need to have a good go of the inside. I have already tried a few things but have not had any luck. I removed the old cat fur/carpet junk. I tried to place some different materials on the wall. I used a cork material, and then a vinyl. The hardest part is trying to find a good adhesive. I used the spray (no success), contact cement (regular, no success), contact cement (gel, some success). The trouble is the mositure that seems to often exist there. Attached a pic.....My next idea is use a outdoor type carpet, and litterally use fiberglass compound mix to adhered it to the wall/bulkhead.....does anyone have ideas/thoughts?
