So my bow cleats are getting loose, and when I removed the side bow cushions expecting to find access panels, there are none. Does anyone have any idea how those cleats were installed, and more importantly how one is expected to tighten them when loose? Am I looking at cutting two more holes in my boat?

First thing I would try is putting a screwdriver bit in your cordless drill then pry up on the cleat while spinning the drill. With any luck you'll put enough pressure on the nut to hold it in place.

Bingo! Thanks for the idea, I was able to tighten up 3 of the 4 fasteners, good enough for now. Looks like I'll tackle the access problem in the off season. Thanks again!oldjeep wrote:
