    Underpowered 3liter mercruiser 92 Bayliner Classic?-gctid749251

water tested a ~19ft used 1992 bayliner classic bowrider with a 3liter-4cylinder mercruiser- looking to hear from any current or previous owners of this boat as to whether you feel this engine is large enough for the boat. Felt ok with 2 guys in it for test but wonder how it will ride when a couple kids and few adults and maybe towing a tube. Thoughts? Watch for a boat with a bigger engine or is the 3 liter plenty of power?

The 3.0 is fine for a light 17'-18' boat but in a 19' you will want a 4.3 at least, preferably with a 4bbl carb.

Friend has a 93' cuddy its heavier then yours 3.0 l does everything you mentined just fine, he runs a 19 p prop.

Load it down you may want to try a 17 p 4 blade.

I kept a spare prop on my 19' 2 degrees less so at the launch I could quick change it out if we were going out with fat people.
Be good, be happy, for tomorrow is promised to no man !
